Seniors' Social
At Branch 68, we’re proud to open our doors for a special afternoon once a month dedicated to our community’s seniors. Organized by Paul Thompson, the Seniors’ Social is a wonderful outing where guests are brought to the Legion to enjoy fellowship, laughter, and light snacks lovingly prepared by our Ladies’ Auxiliary. These gatherings are more than just socials, they are a chance to connect, reminisce, and share in the spirit of friendship that makes our Legion the Friendliest Branch Around.
“At Branch 68, we honour our seniors as the storytellers and wisdom-keepers of our community. Every gathering is a chance to show our respect, share a smile, and celebrate the lives that helped shape who we are today.”
Veteran Knits
Join Toni Juneau, a long-time, dedicated leader, and her wonderful group of knitters for an afternoon of connection, creativity, and community.

Each year, packages lovingly prepared by the group are also delivered to Sunnybrook Veterans, ensuring warmth, comfort, and kindness reach those who served.
Whether you’re a seasoned knitter or simply curious, everyone is welcome. Bring your needles, share a story, and become part of something meaningful. Together, we knit not just yarn, but community.

Battle of Atlantic Ceremony
🌊 Battle of the Atlantic Ceremony
On May 1st, we mark the anniversary of the Battle of the Atlantic—the longest continuous campaign of the Second World War.
For Canada, this was a defining chapter. The Royal Canadian Navy grew from a small fleet into one of the largest in the world, escorting convoys across dangerous waters to keep vital supplies flowing to Europe. Alongside them, the Royal Canadian Air Force patrolled the skies, and the Canadian Merchant Navy carried the lifeline of a nation at war.
These were not easy crossings. The North Atlantic was unforgiving—cold, vast, and often deadly. Many Canadians never returned home.
Their courage ensured that hope, supplies, and support could reach those who needed it most.
We invite our community to gather in remembrance as we honour those who served and sacrificed at sea.
📍 Penetanguishene Rotary Champlain Wendat Park
🗓️ Sunday, May 3rd, 2026
⏰ 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Following the ceremony, please join us for camaraderie at Branch 68.
